                        | | Q Where is my data kept? |

                        | A  This is not a Web Based Program (ASP), In those programs there is a Server (somewhere in the world) containing your deals and customers as well as other dealers customers, as much as they try to protect your information is subject to hacking and could also end up audited directly by government or litigation authorities. Imagine thousands of private client's social security numbers accessed, credit card numbers etc. Who will be responsible for protecting their privacy? Try explaining a leak to your customers.
There are companies soliciting dealers to use their software over the internet.
You would completely give up control over this private and valuable information, one glitch and another dealer will solicit your clients!
Any government agency could produce a court order to your ASP software vendor to look at your records. Would know that it's happening? Would your ASP provider's attorney protect your interest or theirs?

With Lease & Loan Master your data belongs to you alone, you can save and destroy at will, You choose who you share your information with. At least, you know when anyone can look at your business data.
Your data will be in your PC's hard disk drive, you can back it up into CD's to last 100 years, you can erase and or modify without fear that copies are out on the world wide web.
Of course if you have a bad employee or a nasty virus, there is the possibility of theft, but it would be close to impossible to read without our program and you would be able to secure and at least know who to fire. Additionally, ASP programs are difficult to debug and take longer to process information, they share processor resources and bandwidth, so they limit iteration abilities and program features to try to "feel" like they are running "local".You would give up fast rollbacks and fast form printing, making your own forms and having custom features added.
A crew of "technicians" would be able to "watch" your closing techniques and your recaps at the end of each deal. Not the case with Lease & Loan Master, with our program you are the one in total control. |

                        | | Q How can I do a Zero APR Deal? |

                        | A  Put a 0.00 on the APR box, if the amount financed needs to be matched to the payments, select Tools and Zero APR Roll, the program will roll the payment to a rounded zero finance charge value, and give you options of where to place the remainder. If you need to do an odd final payment it will end up as a balloon payment. |

                        | A  Make the APR rate 0.0001, the program will zero out the rate and calculate the LA&H premiums. |

                        | | A  Use the Forms Explorer instead of Forms & Contracts, and simply drag the mouse over up to 18 forms, they will print in sequence. Or you can hold the Ctrl key down while selecting more than one form. |

                        | | Q What kind of Printer do I need? |

                        | | Q How do I set up my Printer ? |

                        | | A  You need to enable your printer to print 8.5 by 28 inch long paper:
 Windows 98
Double Click My ComputerDouble Click Printers
Select the Printer You Wish to use
Right Click the Icon for that printer and choose Properties
 Select the Paper Tab
 Choose Custom Paper Size
Edit the custom size to 850 Wide and 2800 Long
 Click OK
If you have an Unprintable Area button select it
Make sure Top & Bottom are both zero
 Save the settings
Set this printer as the system's default printer.

Some DOS applications an some bad behaving Windows Applications will try to modify these settings... If that is the case you may want to install the printer again (so you will end up with 2) and re-name the one you will use with the Lease Master. They will both print to the same printer but will use different settings as if you had 2 printers.

                        | | Q- How can I wave the Security Deposit or Bank Fee ? |

A more permanent way of removing the Security Deposit is to remove it from the Bank Defaults Module, both the Sec Dep. Box and the Security Deposit Type Section (Select None).
In the Payment Round Up section it will round up to the nearest $50.00 Unless the Bank Menu Name begins with the letter G like GMAC. in the case of Menu names beginning with G the Security Deposit will round up to the nearest $25.00.

                        | | Q How can fix a connection problem with the Credit Bureaus? |

                        | | Note: As Dial up connections became obsolete all credit bureaus have switched to internet based reports, To switch just send an email to reports@leasemaster.comrequesting the information and application.
A  Equifax, Trans Union and TRW Experian, are all undergoing improvements to their communications equipment, because of this it is possible your connection my be interrupted or erratic...This is in some cases caused by them no longer requiring you to supress Error Correction as was the case in the past, this setting is in the Modem Setup section of the Defaults part of the Credit report module.
Follow the next steps to correct the problem:
1- Find our the Brand name and model of your Modem (Control panel, Modems)
2- Click Customer Information, Report, Click Defaults and the apropiate Bureau (TRW, TU, CBI)
3- Write down the Modem Setup String (AT&F......)
4- Contact your Credit Bureau, mention the Error you are getting and ask for an updated initialization string for your Brand and Model of Modem, you may have to explain that it was working well before and that you may need to re-enable error correction, that its possible the UUNET has upgraded the equipment you are connecting with and Error correction is now required.
5- Enter the new string they give you, Try not to make other changes.
Sometimes you may encounter a new untrained or lazy rep at the bureaus, we will be glad to conference with both to clear up any problems, just ask them to conference us in at any time.
Sometimes you may discover you are not subscribed with the bureaus directly and are using a reseller of services, this is not recommended since it impairs the level of support you receive and will sometimes feel they are trying to sell you another piece of software.
You may also benefit from our new web based credit reports, send an email to reports@leasemaster.com requesting an application, The credit report will run out of your cable or dsl internet connection. |
