DealerDevice Advanced Defaults

DealerDevice Advanced Defaults configuration screen

The Advanced Defaults module remains part of DealerDevice and is used to control dealer-level settings that affect deal calculations and workflow.

Advanced Defaults can contain settings for lease and purchase calculations, tax handling, drive-off or capitalization choices, dealer or broker treatment, insurance-related options, fees and other configuration items used by the dealership.

Some settings are specific to a dealer's state, tax treatment, finance or lease program, insurance provider, or operating requirements. The exact choices shown in DealerDevice may therefore differ from older Lease & Loan Master versions or from another dealership's configuration.

The screen image above is retained as a reference to the Advanced Defaults feature. Older versions included items such as lease tax treatment, state-specific lease settings, cap-reduction tax treatment, pro-rata calculation choices, credit-life/disability settings, license or fee treatment, and money-factor or APR calculation options.

Important: use the settings displayed in your current DealerDevice installation and verify any tax, fee, insurance or compliance-related defaults against your dealership's current requirements. Legacy network-drive settings from older desktop installations are not applicable to DealerDevice Online.

If you are uncertain about an Advanced Defaults setting, contact LeaseMaster / DealerDevice support before changing it.
